Who we are
Scale Up Studio is run by Anna McNaughton. If you have a question about your information, email anna@scaleupstudio.co.nz or call 027 487 3014.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us: your name, email, phone (optional), business name, location, the service you’re interested in, the best time to talk, and your message. The form also records the page you sent it from and when you sent it. If you become a client, we also collect what we need to do the work, such as logins, brand files, photos, video clips and invoicing details.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, understand what you need, send you a quote and, if you go ahead, do the work and invoice you.
Who sees it
Your information is stored in GoHighLevel, the system we use to manage enquiries and client work. It may also pass through our email provider, our website host and, if you’re a client, the tools used for your work. These companies may store data overseas, including in the United States. We only use providers we trust to protect it. We don’t sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
AI-assisted tools
We use AI-assisted tools to help draft content and keep work consistent. A person checks everything before it goes out. We only use client information in tools that are part of your work. The tools we use are: GoHighLevel AI and Claude.
Information about your customers
If you’re a client, we may handle your customers’ details to do the work, for example sending review requests, quote follow-ups or invoice reminders. We only use that information for your work, on your behalf, and only contact people you’ve told us to.
Website analytics
This website doesn’t use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years after we were last in touch, unless you become a client. Client records, including invoices, are kept for 7 years because NZ tax law requires it. After that, we delete them.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, password-protected systems and limit access to the people doing your work. Logins and files are shared through a secure method we agree with you, not by ordinary email.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email anna@scaleupstudio.co.nz and we’ll respond within 20 working days. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
